beam2.tv relays a web link from one device to another. A receiving device shows a short-lived session code; a sending device submits a link to that code; the receiving device then opens the link. Sessions are single-use and expire automatically after 5 minutes.
Controller: Frigus Nubes Ltd (contact above). The service has no user accounts, sets no cookies, and uses no tracking, advertising identifiers, or analytics that profile you.
Data processed: (1) the link you submit, held only until it is delivered or for at most 5 minutes, then deleted – links are never logged or stored beyond this; (2) technical connection data (such as IP addresses) processed transiently in the infrastructure logs of our hosting provider for security and operational purposes.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing the relay you request and keeping the service secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Data is not sold or shared with third parties beyond the hosting infrastructure. Hosting: Cloudflare's global network.
You have the rights provided by the GDPR (access, erasure, objection, and others) and can exercise them at any time via info@beam2.tv. Be aware, however, what the honest answer to such a request will be: we hold no data about you. There are no accounts, no names, no profiles, and relayed links are deleted within minutes of delivery – so by the time we receive your request, there is nothing left that could identify you or be returned, corrected, or erased (GDPR Art. 11). This is not a limitation of your rights but the result of the service collecting as little as possible in the first place. If you disagree with how we handle data, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Finland, tietosuoja.fi).
The service is provided free of charge and as-is, without warranties of any kind. Do not use it to distribute unlawful content or to harass, deceive, or harm others. Sessions are ephemeral and delivery is not guaranteed. The service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frigus Nubes Ltd is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, and total liability is in any case limited to the amount you paid for the service (zero). These terms are governed by Finnish law.
The free service is intended for personal and incidental workplace use. Systematic or integrated commercial use – for example digital signage, embedding the service in a product or service, or automated or high-volume use – requires a separate agreement. Trying the service with public or non-confidential content needs no agreement – that is exactly its intended use, also at work. If it proves useful and you want systematic use, guaranteed terms, or features for your environment, contact info@beam2.tv and we will discuss a commercial arrangement. We may throttle or block usage that exceeds normal individual use without such an agreement.
QR codes are generated in your browser with the open-source library qrcode-generator (version 1.4.4) by Kazuhiko Arase, used under the MIT license and loaded from the cdnjs content delivery network. This is the only third-party software component of the service; everything else is written and operated by Frigus Nubes Ltd. QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
A summary of verifiable properties, for organizations evaluating the service: (1) Only the submitted link (URL string) transits the service – never the content behind it; the receiving device must itself be authorized to open whatever the link points to. (2) A link is held until delivered or for at most 5 minutes, then deleted; links are not logged or stored at the application level. (3) There are no accounts, cookies, tracking, or profiling, and sessions are single-use. (4) The service runs on Cloudflare's network; technical connection data appears transiently in that infrastructure's logs, as described in the privacy notice. (5) The only third-party software component is the QR library listed above. (6) Provider is a Finnish company under Finnish law and the GDPR.
Good link hygiene applies here as with any messaging or relay tool: do not send links that grant access by themselves (tokenized "anyone with the link" shares, signed URLs) or whose address text reveals confidential names, to a screen or person who should not have them.
